The John Maddocks Trio have appeared at the Bude Festival for many years and, as has often happened in the
past, on this session at the 2003 Festival, they were four in number (!) - John Maddocks clarinet, alto sax;
Peter Tamplin piano; Mike Cox banjo; Chris Marchant drums. John's Down Home Jazzers (PKCD-227) grew out of
his ever expanding Trio about nine or ten years ago. With John you never know how many you'll get, but you
can always be sure of some thrilling jazz. The tunes are:- Buddy's Habit, Potato Head Blues, The Old
Rugged Cross, Move The Body Over, High Society, Midnight Hour Blues, Kansas City Stomps, Snake Rag, Love
