"Capturing the best in British Traditional Jazz"

The John Maddocks Jazzmen -
"Old & New"

Catalogue Note:
It’s almost a tradition in recent years at Bude that the Festival starts with John’s thrilling band playing to a packed house at The Falcon Hotel, and 2004 was no exception. I think this is possibly the band’s best CD to date; a few tracks are from the Falcon Hotel session but most come from their second, equally exciting session at The Hartland Hotel later the same day. The line-up is unchanged from their last CD (PKCD-257 “Lucky For Some”) and the tunes are:- Rhythm King, San Jacinto Stomp, On A Coconut Island, Blame It On The Blues, St Philip Street Breakdown, Gee Baby Ain’t I Good To You, Gatemouth, Stevedore Stomp, Goin’ Home, Sweetheart Of Sigma Chi, Buddy’s Habit, Lonesome Blues, All The Girls Go Crazy ‘bout The Way I Walk. (78 mins)
