After an interval of nearly three years I am pleased to offer you the band's fourth CD for P.E.K., recorded in November 2007 (not a live session). They have been playing for about 15 years and their four piece front line (trumpet, clarinet, sax, trombone) gives them a distinctive sound. The Silver Leaf Jazz Band can be heard mostly around their home area of Barnsley, Yorkshire.
Musically they have a wide-ranging repertoire as the list of tunes shows:- Bogalousa Strut, Let Me Call You Sweetheart, It Had To Be You, Clarinet Marmalade, Summertime, Bright Star Blues, Yellow Dog Blues, Mister Sandman, Salutation March, I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Sway, After You've Gone, Dans Les Rues d'Antibes. (68mins). Some good old favourites there.
