In the Autumn of 2007 the Red Wing Band from Sweden made a tour of England with Brian Carrick as their guest. This exciting CD comes from their session at Little Witley Jazz Club, the eighth of nine sessions they played. The club was packed and from the first bars of the first tune the place was rocking! This was one of the most thrilling sessions I've heard in a very long time. The unconventional line-up adds to the enjoyment of this CD; Brian Carrick clarinet and tenor sax, Hans Zakrisson trombone, Lasse Collin tenor sax and clarinet, Sune Linder piano, Lennart Mysto Werdell banjo, Leif Melldahl double bass, Ronald Anderson drums. Eva Karin Andersson sings on 6 tracks. The combination of clarinet and tenor sax, or two saxes, or two clarinets is, I think, a great bonus.
