John Dunmore is a versatile band leader with a great love of the many styles of music originating from New Orleans. His previous CD for P.E.K. was by his New Orleans Band (PKCD-234 “Uptown Bumps”). This new CD by his Boogie Band features the R ‘n’ B music exemplified by Fats Domino in the 1950s and ‘60s. The CD was recorded live under less than ideal conditions in Northampton in April 2008. The band line-up is John Dunmore vocals, clarinet and also sax; Tony Sketchley tenor sax; Roy Hawkesford lead guitar; Chris Reilley keyboard; Glynn Murray bass guitar; Dave Rooker drums.
